A pedestrian was struck and killed on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu and an investigation of the collision is underway Tuesday.
Deputies from the department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station responded around 7:30 p.m. Monday to the 27280 block of Pacific Coast Highway and Winding Way, not far from Paradise Cove, regarding a traffic collision, an LASD spokesman told City News Service.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
North and southbound lanes on Pacific Coast Highway remained closed for several hours
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies, the LASD said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
