Los Angeles police Wednesday sought witnesses to a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles that took the life of a pedestrian in his 30s last night.

The crash was reported about 9 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Figueroa Street and Imperial Highway in Green Meadows neighborhood.

The man, who was outside of a crosswalk when he was hit, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately available, nor was a description or direction of travel of the vehicle involved.
