Police Saturday are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Pacoima that left one man dead.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at approximately 8:21 p.m. Friday to San Fernando Road and Paxton Street regarding a collision. When they arrived at the scene, the officers learned one vehicle was traveling east on Paxton and the second driver was heading north on San Fernando when the vehicles collided, an LAPD spokesman told City New Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and took the victim — the driver of the first vehicle — to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The condition of the second driver was not known. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
