Four people were injured in a violent crash involving as many as five vehicles Wednesday morning in Covina.
The crash was reported about 5:50 a.m. near the intersection of Hollenbeck Avenue and Cypress Street, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Despite an initial report that one person was trapped, a fire department spokesman said no one had to be cut from the wreckage.
Video from the scene showed at least two badly mangled vehicles.
All four patients were taken to a hospital.
Their ages, genders and conditions were not immediately available.
