Police spent about two hours Saturday investigating a report by someone who threatened to open fire near the Westfield Culver City mall but did not find the person.
The threat was reported about 3:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of Slauson and Hannum avenues, according to Culver City Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza.
The search was focused on a park across the street from the mall, Atenza said. A map showed it was Fox Hills Park.
A suspect was not located during a two-hour perimeter search and the area was determined to be safe, she said.
