A 25-year-old woman who was cut from the wreckage of a two-vehicle collision in Boyle Heights but did not survive was identified the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office Monday.

Yennifer Anguiano Romero of Los Angeles was fatally injured about 5:45 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Fourth and Clarence street, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

The trapped young woman was pronounced dead after being removed from the vehicle, while a second person was evaluated by paramedics and declined treatment or transport to a hospital.

It was unclear if one of the drivers failed to observe the traffic signal at the intersection.
