A 68-year-old man with dementia was located Tuesday after he wandered from his hotel room near Los Angeles International Airport.
Thomas Murrell, who hails from Atlanta and was in town to take a cruise with his wife, had last been seen around 9 p.m. Sunday in the area of West Century Boulevard and Avion Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert regarding the man.
Murrell was wearing the clothes he had on when he went missing nearly 40 hours after he wandered off, authorities said.
He was located by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who credited a tip received from a viewer of Fox11, which showed Murrell in apparently good condition as he was reunited with his family.
It was not immediately clear where Murrell was while missing.
