A grass fire burned 1 1/2 acres of vegetation in Sylmar Friday evening.
Firefighters initially responded at approximately 6:10 p.m. Friday to the 15600 block of Bledsoe Street, about a half-mile north of the Golden State (5) Freeway, to reports of a grass fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze was reported knocked down at approximately 7:25 p.m., with several fire crews who remained on scene for an estimated two-hour clean-up operation.
The fire was updated to a brush fire around 6:35 p.m., with at least half an acre of vegetation ”burning into the wind” in light fuel with a slow rate of speed, fire officials reported.
There were no reported injuries or structural exposure, LAFD spokesperson Jamie Stewart said
