Authorities Tuesday released the name of a Las Vegas man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Hawthorne.
The crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. on May 17 at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.
The victim was Dashawn Coleman, 30, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
Responding officers located four involved vehicles with significant damage and multiple injured people. Two occupants required extrication from one of the vehicles, according to Hawthorne police.
A total of four people were rushed away in ambulances to a hospital, where Coleman was pronounced dead, and two of the others were listed in extremely critical condition, according to the HPD.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
