A man was struck by gunfire Monday on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, and an investigation into the shooting was underway.
Officers responded at 2:33 p.m. Monday to reports of shots on the freeway near West Washington Boulevard and South Grand Avenue, near Los Angeles Trade Technical-College, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The motive behind the shooting was unclear, with the suspect still at large, police said.
The extent of the victim’s injures and condition were not provided.
