A person in Lakewood was cited for possession of approximately 130 pounds of illegal fireworks, authorities said Saturday.
The effort was a part of an enforcement detail consisting of Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies and public safety officers from the city of Lakewood who handled seven firework-related calls in the city Friday, according to the sheriff’s Lakewood station.
Another person was arrested on an undisclosed warrant during the enforcement period.
The sheriff’s Lakewood station urged anyone who has witnessed or knows of illegal fireworks to call them at 562-623-3500.
