Puka Nacua is asking for a court order that would maintain the privacy of his home address in his defense of a lawsuit filed by a Jewish woman who alleges the Rams star wideout made antisemitic remarks and bit her during a New Year’s Eve 2025 event in Century City hosted by Nacua and some of his teammates.
Madison Atiabi also alleges in her Santa Monica Superior Court gender violence/negligence complaint that Nacua threatened to ruin her name in the media. On Tuesday, Nacua’s attorneys filed court papers with Judge Lisa K Sepe-Wiesenfeld asking for a “protective order” preventing public disclosure Nacua’s residential address after Atiabi’s attorneys allegedly did not agree to such a directive during discussions.
“I experience constant unsolicited coverage in paparazzi and celebrity reports, news outlets and social media,” Nacua says in a sworn declaration in support of his motion. “As a result, I face substantial privacy and safety concerns, including stalking risks, harassment, trespassers, unwanted photos or videos or other invasive privacy issues.”
Nacua, 25, says he understands the “liberality of discovery,” but also contends that he is frequently followed by photographers and members of the public without his permission, which he says can be “disturbing, annoying and, at times, embarrassing.”
According to Nacua’s attorneys’ court papers, the wide receiver’s home address was sought among a series of written questions posed by Atiabi’s lawyers during discovery. When the attorneys from both sides met to discuss the plaintiff’s claims of alleged deficiencies in Nacua’s responses, an Atiabi’s attorney said no protective order was needed, according to Nacua’s lawyers’ pleadings.
In her lawsuit filed March 25, Atiabi says she did not know Nacua would be at the dinner. She contends he “became intoxicated and was acting strange and touchy feely with the women at the dinner.”
In the presence of Atiabi and others, Nacua made an unprovoked antisemitic statement that made Atiabi “uncomfortable and emotionally distressed” given that she is herself Jewish, her suit states.
The suit further alleges that Nacua “bit and severely injured plaintiff with all his teeth on her back.”
