Coroner IDs Man Shot to Death in Hollywood Apartment

A 36-year-old man killed in a shooting at a Hollywood apartment building was identified Friday.

The shooting occurred at about 2:15 a.m. on July 10 in an apartment building in the 7000 block of Lanewood Avenue, one block north of Sunset Boulevard, between La Brea and Highland avenues, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim was inside the apartment building with three other people when the male suspect entered the building, fired at the victim and fled on foot, she said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

He was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Kieshayne Young, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
