A man in his 40s was shot in the Hyde Park area of South Los Angeles Monday evening.
The shooting occurred at about 8:55 p.m. Monday on the 6300 block of Second Avenue, one block west of Arlington Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance in unknown condition, the officer said.
Suspect information was not available.
