An investigation was underway Tuesday after a hoax call to law enforcement falsely claimed that rapper Blueface had fatally shot his girlfriend at a Santa Clarita residence while under the influence of drugs.
Deputies assigned to the Los Angeles County Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded at approximately 2:50 p.m. Tuesday to the 186000 block of Juniper Springs Drive to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to a spokesman for the station.
Blueface, whose legal name is Johnathan Michael Porter, was falsely accused of killing his girlfriend while under the influence of drugs and tying up their daughter inside the home.
Investigators conducted a thorough investigation at the location and concluded that those claims were unfounded.
Reports from the scene indicated that deputies detained all occupants at gunpoint while they cleared the residence.
After authorities determined that there were no injured victims or a threat to the community, all detained occupants were released.
It remains unclear who made the call or whether deputies took a possible suspect into custody in connection with the hoax call.
