A man was fatally shot Friday in Long Beach.
Officers received a report of a shooting about 1 a.m. Friday and responded to the 700 of block of Magnolia Avenue, east of Edison Elementary School, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
They rendered aid until Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead, police said. His name was withheld pending positive identification and notification of kin.
No suspects were at the scene when officers arrived.
