A Silver Alert was activated for an 81-year-old man who was last seen Monday near Farmers Market.
Frank McAllister was last seen approximately 10 a.m. in the area of Hayworth Avenue and Beverly Boulevard in Beverly Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
McAllister, who was believed to be on foot, was described as a 5-foot, 5-inch tall white man weighing 140 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black shirt, green pants, and red shoes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at-risk to help them be recovered more quickly.
