The woman was crossing Oxnard Street, outside the crosswalk, when she was struck at about 9:35 p.m. Saturday by a dark red Ford SUV that was traveling southbound on Lankershim Boulevard, north of Oxnard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
“The hit-and-run driver negotiated a U-turn on Lankershim Boulevard and fled northbound without stopping, identifying themselves, or rendering aid, as required by law,” according to a police statement.
