Los Angeles Unified School District officials have removed a principal from a Granada Hills middle school for undisclosed reasons.
J. Francisco Ayala, who has worked at Robert Frost Middle School since July of 2010, was “reassigned” on Jan. 31, LAUSD spokeswoman Barbara Jones said in remarks reported by the Los Angeles Daily News.

Ayala has worked for LAUSD since July 1994, according to the district. His annual salary is $131,825. It was not immediately clear if he’s working elsewhere, such as another school or the district’s headquarters, or if he has been reassigned to his home.
“Because all personnel matters are confidential, we cannot provide additional information,” Jones told the Daily News in an email.
An experienced interim principal is ensuring continuity at the middle school, Jones said. She is veteran administrator Penny Gwin.
