The South Bay Lakers, the Los Angeles Lakers NBA G League affiliate, will open their season Saturday at the UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, facing the Stockton Kings.
South Bay’s roster includes three players with NBA experience — guards Alex Caruso, Andre Ingram and Scott Machado — and two players on assignment from the Lakers — guard Isaac Bonga and center Moritz Wagner.
Stockton, the Sacramento Kings NBA G League affiliate, opened its season Friday with a 124-89 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s NBA G League affiliate, in Stockton.
The Kings played in Reno from 2008-18 when they were known as the Bighorns.
Two food trucks will be present at each game, serving food until the end of the third quarter. Green Olive, which offers Mediterranean cuisine, and Ruben’s Tacos will be at Saturday’s game.
The trucks will be located just outside the fan entrance to the UCLA Health Training Center, on the south side of the facility.
All fans in attendance will receive a rally towel.
The UCLA Health Training Center is also the practice facility for the Los Angeles Lakers and site of the team’s offices.
