Gov. Gavin Newsom Monday appointed a San Diego pharmacist to the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Seung Oh, 32, has been the pharmacist in charge at the Vons pharmacy in Liberty Station since 2014. He holds a master’s degree in advanced studies from UC San Diego and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona.
His appointment does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Oh is registered without party preference.
The California State Board of Pharmacy is tasked with licensing and monitoring pharmacists throughout the state. It also seeks to pursue highest-quality care with appropriate use of pharmaceuticals through education, communication, legislation, regulation and enforcement.
