It took 42 minutes for firefighters to put out a 400-square-foot brush fire Friday in the Montecito Heights area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 11:46 a.m. in the 4000 block of East Evadale Drive, near Ernest E. Debs Regional Park, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
The fight required additional equipment and firefighters because it was in an isolated location, Stewart said.
The flames were out at 12:28 p.m. and firefighters remained on the scene to put out hot spots, she said.
No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, Stewart said.
