It took 35 firefighters 21 minutes Tuesday to put out a well-involved garage fire that spread to a house in the Sawtelle area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday at 1662 S. Sawtelle Blvd., near Santa Monica Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Firefighters waged an offensive battle inside and on top of the garage and house and had the flames out at 10:37 a.m., Stewart said.
The house did sustain damage but the extent was not immediately available, she said. No injuries were reported.
