A rubbish fire burned close to a store that was part of a Canoga Park gas station Monday but firefighters put it out before it could do harm.
The fire was reported at 3:27 a.m. Monday at 6800 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd. at Vanowen Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Jennifer Middleton.
When firefighters first arrived, they were concerned a 2,500-square-foot gas station store might catch fire, Middleton said.
The flames were out in 36 minutes and the store was safe, she said. No injuries were reported.
