The Los Angeles City Council will vote Wednesday on a $50,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 56-year-old woman in South Los Angeles.

The driver of a medium-sized silver car going north on Crenshaw Boulevard struck Diane Dupree at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 10 as she crossed the street at 63rd Street.

The driver did not stop. Dupree died at the scene.

Councilman Bernard Parks will join LAPD detectives and Dupree’s family at tomorrow’s City Council meeting to discuss the reward.

Anyone with information was urged to call the South Traffic Division at (323) 421-2577 or (323) 421-2500.
