
U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris will serve as grand marshal for the 33rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Kingdom Day Parade in Los Angeles on Monday.
Harris will also deliver remarks at the Kingdom Day Parade Breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday at the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Mall, 3650 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Harris will then kick off the 2.5-mile parade, which will start at 10 a.m. and goes along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, ending at Leimert Park.
Among those on hand will be a number of community leaders, along with organizations including Jack & Jill, Inc.; CHIRLA; Special Needs Network, Inc.; Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute; Alpha Kappa Alpha; United Farm Workers; and Empowering Pacific Islander Communities.
