A ruptured gas leak in Bermuda Dunes prompted a shelter-in-place order before it was mitigated Wednesday.
The gas leak was reported shortly before 12:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 78900 block of Bayside Court, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said the leak occurred in a gated community, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for roughly 15 residents on the street out of an abundance of caution.
Gas company crews arrived a short time later and mitigated the leak at 2:04 p.m., and the order was lifted.
