We’ll see, as Keaton has joined the cast of the eight-part HBO drama on the beginning of Pope Pius XIII’s pontificate “The Young Pope.” portraying just such a member of a religious order, the premium pay cable channel announced.
Jude Law will star in the title role. Production begins this week. Additional casting will be announced soon for the co-production that also involves the British satellite broadcasting company Sky and the French premium cable channel Canal+.
“The Young Pope” will be directed by Paolo Sorrentino, who directed “The Great Beauty,” which won the Oscar for best foreign language film of 2013.
