
The new NBC drama “Blindspot” beat all its broadcast competition in its time slot for the second time in the two times it has aired, according to live-plus-same-day figures released by Nielsen.
“Blindspot” averaged 9.11 million viewers, a 14.1 percent drop from the 10.61 million average for its premiere.
Opposite it from 10-11 p.m. Monday, the CBS drama “NCIS: Los Angeles” averaged 7.66 million, and the ABC mystery “Castle” 6.7 million.
Complete cable figures for the time slot were not available.
Viewership for the CBS comedy “Life in Pieces” dropped 22.8 percent from its premiere, which averaged 11.28 million. The second episode averaged 8.71 million.
The second episode of the Fox drama “Minority Report” averaged 2.57 million viewers, a 17.1 percent drop from the 3.1 million average for its premiere.
Viewership for the second episodes of new series is almost always smaller than viewership for the premiere.
NBC finished first among the four major broadcast networks for the second consecutive Monday, averaging 11.09 million.
CBS was second, averaging 9.74 million, followed by ABC, which averaged 9.62 million, and Fox, which averaged 3.61 million.
