
Matt Damon stuck in space was again the nation’s favorite movie this weekend, as “The Martian” was projected to sell $15.9 million in tickets.
The space drama has amassed more than $166 million domestically in its four weeks of exhibition, according to bean counters at Rentrak.

“Goosebumps” was second, with $15.5 million in weekend gross sales. “Bridge of Spies” was third, at $11.4 million.
Premiering in fourth place was “The Last Witch Hunter,” with a $10.8 million take projected.
Rounding out the 10 most-viewed movies this weekend in the United States and Canada, as estimated by the studios and accounted by Rentrak, were “Hotel Transylvania 2” ($9 million), “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” (debuting with $8.2 million), “Steve Jobs” ($7.3 million), “Crimson Peak” ($5.6 million), “The Intern” ($3.9 million) and “Woodlawn” ($3.1 million).
