“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is so 2015. Now we’re hearing key actors commenting on the next episode of the Disney franchise.
John Boyega, who plays Finn the rogue stormtrooper, told British Vogue about “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
“It’s great,” Boyega said of the script. “Much darker, but we’re very excited,” also referring to co-star Daisy Ridley.
Asked about his “very energetic” scenes in “The Force Awakens,” the British Boyega said he didn’t train extensively.
“We really just took it scene by scene; there wasn’t a huge regime. My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more.”
Meanwhile, Jason Bassett posted this:
“The Star Wars: Rogue One trailer has officially leaked. The short trailer is taken from a camera in a theater, [but] is pretty clear and pretty short. The trailer starts as the camera pans into a forest like region and then tracks a river bank.
“Then a mysterious voice begins to talk about the Jedi Order and referred to them as dark days. The voice itself sound very familiar to most Star Wars fans as Emperor Palpatine. The trailer then breaks from the forest and shows a distant planet and a tie fighter flying off into the distance.”
Bassett thinks the trailer came from last year’s Disney D23 Expo.
“Star Wars: Episode VIII” doesn’t comes out May 26, 2017.
