Leading nominee Kendrick Lamar will perform during the 58th annual Grammy Awards, along with country group Little Big Town, The Weeknd and Grammy-winning songstress Adele, making her first appearance in four years, The Recording Academy announced Wednesday.
The ceremony will also feature a tribute to this year’s MusiCares Person of the Year, Lionel Richie.
The Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 15 at Staples Center. For the first time, the ceremony will be telecast live at 5 p.m. on the West Coast, instead of tape-delayed for three hours. LL Cool J will host the ceremony for the fifth consecutive year.
The performances will be the first on the Grammy stage for Little Big Town and The Weeknd. Little Big Town is nominated for two Grammys this year, for country duo/group performance for “Girl Crush” and country album for “Pain Killer.” The Weeknd is up for seven awards, including record of the year for “Can’t Feel My Face” and album of the year for “Beauty Behind the Madness.”
Lamar is this year’s top nominee with 11 nods, including album of the year for “To Pimp a Butterfly” and song of the year for “Alright.”
Adele, meanwhile, is expected to perform a track from her latest blockbuster album, “25.”
