Who knows what that ring on Miley Cyrus’ finger means? The rock that spawned engagement rumors notwithstanding, old beau Liam Hemsworth is saying: “I am not engaged, no.”

As reported by TV Week site Down Under, “Since Aussie heartthrob Liam Hemsworth and pop superstar Miley Cyrus were spotted at the Falls Festival in Byron Bay earlier this year, the whole world has been obsessed trying to figure out whether the couple are engaged again. … So how does the actor deal with the intense public interest?

“I just don’t leave my home,” Hemsworth said. “For the last few months because I had a back injury, I really couldn’t do much. So I have honestly been at my house most of the time.”

He added: “It is what it is and I am not someone who is looking for any more attention that I have and I try not to draw attention in any way. I don’t do things that do draw attention. So most of the time I fly under the radar. There is a lot of attention there but I did have a helicopter flying over my house for a while.”
