Leslie Jones of “Saturday Night Live” and the new “Ghostbusters” has been busy taking snaps of her TV during the Olympics and live-tweeting her delirious excitement.

Her occasionally comedic and profane takes captured the attention of NBC, her SNL employer and Rio broadcaster.
As Business Insider noted: “Jim Bell, the executive producer of the Olympic Games in Rio, even tweeted at Jones to invite the star. She immediately accepted, saying that she would ‘have the whole Olympics pumped.'”
USA Today added: “NBC says the slaying will commence Friday, when she’ll attend swimming, track and field, gymnastics and beach volleyball events. The invite came after a wave of backlash to comments made by hosts during the first few days of competition, and a call for more of a focus on the sports. And Jones is certainly focused on the sports.”
