Jackie Chan has signed on as the voice of kung fu Master Wu in “The LEGO Ninjago Movie,” Warner Bros. Pictures announced Thursday.

In the animated big-screen adventure, which is slated for release in September 2017, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, and his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders.

Led by kung fu master Wu, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad.

Justin Theroux will be the voice of Garmadon; Dave Franco will play Lloyd; and Olivia Munn is on board as Lloyd’s mom, Koko.

Making up the secret ninja crew are Fred Armisen as Cole; Abbi Jacobson as Nya; Kumail Nanjiani as Jay; Michael Pea as Kai; and Zach Woods as Zane.

“The LEGO Ninjago Movie” will mark the feature film directorial debut of Charlie Bean (“Tron: Uprising”). Producers Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Roy Lee previously collaborated on “The LEGO Movie.”
