Michael Moore’s surprise new documentary will be labeled a hatchet job by the GOP candidate’s campaign. But no doubt it’s a rush job.
“Michael Moore in TrumpLand” is set for a preview screening Tuesday night in New York. And Playlist said the movie begins a one-week run at the Laemmle Town Center 5 in Encino starting Wednesday.
The New York Times reported: “The film is a one-man show that Mr. Moore had originally planned to perform at the Midland Theater in Newark, Ohio. But that did not take place, causing a conflict between Mr. Moore and the management of the theater. Mr. Moore said in a Facebook message that he found another Ohio location to perform the show.”
The Los Angeles Times said the movie will be available for purchase on iTunes, the same day it opens at the IFC Center [in New York] and the Laemmle theater in Encino.
“The entire plan came together last-minute, said a publicist who was hired Monday to promote the film. ‘TrumpLand’ was booked in theaters less than 24 hours ago, and Moore was putting the final touches on it late Monday evening.”
