Boomer fans of “To Sir, With Love” were likely touched by the resurrection of the former No. 1 hit on “Saturday Night Live” as a farewell tribute to President Obama.

But what about those born after Lulu sang it in the 1967 inner-city school film starring Sidney Poitier?

(They would include SNL’s Cecily Strong, who began the song, and Sasheer Zamata, who joined in. They are 32 and 30, respectively.)

Clues came on Twitter. Tears were a theme. Another sign: Video of the duet was posted dozens of times on YouTube.
