Picture a late-night TV show with President Trump as host and Mike Pence as his Ed McMahon-like sidekick. Now rub your eyes. It’s happening soon on Comedy Central.

“When I was first approached about this show I thought it would be about me, but on further thought, this makes way more sense,” said Kent Alterman, president of Comedy Central.
The at 11:30 p.m. Thursday series starting April 27 — called “The President Show” — was announced Monday but suggested via social media for weeks.
“Patriots can follow ‘The President Show‘ on Twitter, become a constituent on Facebook and follow the greatest host in late night on Twitter at @LateNightDonald,” said a news release.
“Laughing at the president is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department,” Atamanuik said. “But our political system is too broken for us to be content joking about one man, even though he is a disastrous silly little toddler boy. Mostly I’d just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we’re lucky, end up in prison!”
