The British press is going bonkers over Los Angeles-born and raised actress Meghan Markle because she’s been dating Prince Harry, fifth in line to the throne.

Some outlets are even talking marriage.

The Sun headline: “ROYAL WEDDING BELLS? Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get married and what could their wedding plans be?”

The Express: “Meghan Markle Prince Harry wedding: Will Harry propose to Meghan in Africa? Latest odds”

The Heart: “Does Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Holiday Location Hint At A Proposal?”

But an Aussie site threw cold water on the notion: “Even if he were to ask for her hand in marriage and the pair tie the knot — the 36-year-old actress would not be known as Princess Meghan. This is because, due to rules governing the British crown, only those born into the royal family can use the title Prince or Princess, followed by their first name.

“Therefore if Meghan and Harry do end up getting married, she will be officially known as Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales.”

Born Rachel Meghan Markle, the actress and widely traveled humanitarian turned 36 last week. She attended Immaculate Heart High School in L.A.
