Three weeks after the fact, tabloid media are trying to dig up details on why Scott Disick — father of Kourtney Kardashian’s children — was taken to a hospital near his Hidden Hills home.

The reality TV star, who once spent a month in drug and alcohol rehab center, may have had psychiatric issues, says an US magazine report.

“On August 18th, LAFD responded to a call from the home of Scott Disick,” the Los Angeles Fire Department said Wednesday. “Lost Hills Sheriffs were also on the scene shortly there after. LAFD officials transported Mr. Disick to a local hospital. No other information will be given out at this time.”

But ET added that a Fire Department spokesperson said at 5:03 p.m. that day a crew arrived as Disick’s residence “after a call came in for a possible 5150 psychiatric hold on a male at the house. The responders, who noted that the man was nonviolent when they arrived at the residence, then transported him to a local hospital.”

Blast reported that Disick, 34, was placed in a psychiatric hold during his hospitalization.

“According to our sources,” the site said, “Disick was given a private room with his own security guard posted outside. Our sources say Kourtney Kardashian showed up to support the father of her children and wanted to be there because he has no other family. We’re told Scott was allowed to take smoke breaks periodically, but was accompanied by hospital staff at all times.”

A 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold can be put into place for up to 72 hours when officials deem an individual to be a danger to themselves or to others, according to the website for California Legislative Information.

Blast reports that Disick was not held for the full 72 hours.
