If President Trump asks Air Force One to fly to Nambia, he’ll have some confused pilots.
So goes the mockery in the wake of Trump telling African leaders at the United Nations: “In Guinea and Nigeria, you fought a horrifying Ebola outbreak. Nambia’s health system is increasingly self-sufficient.”
Eventually, the White House cleared it up: The president meant Namibia (and not Zambia or Gambia).
“Hage Geingob, Namibia’s U.S.-educated president, was in the room with Trump as he made his speech,” said The Washington Post. “In public at least, he offered no reaction to the suggestion that he was the leader of ‘Nambia.’”
But it have Twitter snarks a chance to revisit the “covfefe” gaffe.
