Gossip Cop is giving Radar Online the equivalent of a dozen Pinocchios for a story saying “America’s Got Talent” will restrict children out of fear of losing adult viewers.
“Simon Cowell is worried that his hit series, AGT, is turning into a kiddie show,” a source told “Straight Shuter,” a nickname for British-born gossip-monger Rob Shuter.
A “questionable insider” reported how Cowell was stepping in to fix the problem of repeat subteen winners and that “next season is going to be very different with new rules.”
But Gossip Cop shot back, saying it had looked into the story and “we can exclusively set the record straight.”
An unnamed “AGT” source says the story is “totally untrue,” Gossip Cop said. “We’re told Cowell simply doesn’t want the show’s age guidelines changed.”
The audition rules continue to permit minors.
MyNewsLA.com contacted Shuter, who runs naughtygossip.com, for comment on the Gossip Cop critique.
Shuter replied with a non sequitur: “Last time I read Mall Cop Brad and Angelina marriage was rock solid and Jennifer and Ben were totally in love! Wink.”
