Talk about being torched.
Actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein of “Torch Song Trilogy” fame has been burning up social media to remind people he isn’t Harvey Weinstein.
“Harvey Weinstein is rumored to be in trouble & I am somehow getting flak as well,” he tweeted after the New York Times story that lit the fire still burning.
The good-boy Harvey shared a story on Facebook about the mix-up, saying: “Now can I get back to typing?”
Dan Bellack, in a comment, typed: “‘You got the wrong Jew.’ If I only had a dollar for every time I had to say that!”
A chronology of reaction:
Harvey Weinstein is rumored to be in trouble & I am somehow getting flak as well! I get it. All Harveys look alike.
