Steve Edwards, a decades-long fixture on Southern California local news and a longtime anchor of Fox11’s “Good Day L.A.” has parted ways with the station, Fox confirmed Monday.

No details were provided about Edwards’ departure.

A representative for the station said only, “We can confirm that Steve Edwards is no longer employed by KTTV.”

Edwards began working at KTTV in the mid-1990s, but he has been anchoring programs in Southern California since the late 1970s, when he hosted “The Steve Edwards Show” and then “Two on the Town” for CBS2. He subsequently anchored ABC7’s “AM Los Angeles.”
