Jordi Lippe-McGraw had no idea in 2011 that her 5,000-word interview with porn star Stormy Daniels would have such lurid consequences for a Republican president in 2018.
The release of a “lightly edited” transcript of their chat could be used against Donald Trump. Think Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton.
But Daniels — real name Stephanie Clifford — spent much more time on a broken promise than the “textbook generic” sex in the penthouse at the top of the Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe.
“Yeah, it was definitely the biggest, longest topic of conversation — how he could get me on” his NBC show, “The Apprentice,” she said.
“He told me that he got a wild-card choice,” Daniels said. “That he could push one person through at will. … Absolutely. 100 percent he promised me.”
Daniels was skeptical from the start, but challenged Trump to make it happen.
“I figured my shot was 50-50 even though he swore up and down it was 100. It’s not just him. I never really get my hopes up on big stuff like that.”
Ultimately, Trump told Daniels NBC wouldn’t let her on.
“So that just makes me wonder if he was just flat-out lying the whole time,” she said. “I didn’t have any unrealistic expectations of actually being on the show…. So now I wonder if the whole thing was just a f—ing lie.”
InTouch asked: “Just to impress you, to try to sleep with you?”
Daniels: “Yeah. And I guess it worked.”
