Alumnus Rick Levy will throw a ceremonial first pitch as the Los Angeles Dodgers conduct California State University, Northridge Night at Saturday evening’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium.

Levy is a former vice president of Access Leasing Corporation and Chrysler Capital. He is a member of CSUN’s Heritage Society, which recognizes and honors alumni who have made a financial commitment to the university through their estate plans and President’s Associates, which recognizes and supports CSUN’s philanthropic leaders.

Levy loaned his Sandy Koufax memorabilia collection to the Dodgers pop-up museum last winter.

The national anthem will be sung by Gretchen Anderson, who received a master’s degree in vocal performance in May.

Anderson has performed across the nation in numerous musicals, operas, oratorios and been a featured soloist in several concerts in Rome.

A special event ticket pack, which includes an exclusive cap, is available at Dodgers.com/CSUN.

Another first pitch will be thrown by Natalee Garcia in connection with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Nov. 10 and is undergoing treatment.

Aaron Williams, a 10-year-old diagnosed with acute leukemia when he was 7 months old, and his pediatric oncologist, Dr. Fae Majlessipou, will be introduced to the crowd.

Retired U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Javier Sanchez of Carson will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game.

Sanchez joined the Army in 1998, and served tours in Korea and Kuwait as field artillery and to Iraq and Afghanistan as a platoon sergeant.

Sanchez was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal and various joint and unit awards.

Sanchez retired earlier this year.
