Audition clips are being accepted from local musicians and performers seeking to be part of SunLine Transit Agency’s “Bring Back 111 Music Festival,” which puts local artists to the test before an audience of hundreds of desert commuters.
The Coachella Valley bus line is looking to entertain its riders with live music on Nov. 11, with around 30 local bands and performers slated to take part in a day of music aboard buses on SunLine’s Line 111, which stretches from Palm Springs to Coachella.
Riders will rate the performers on Facebook and Instagram. The first place winners will receive $500 Visa gift cards; second place winners get $300 Visa gift cards; and third place winners receive $100 Visa gift cards.
“Highway 111 is the heart of the valley, so our Line 111 becomes the ideal mobile music venue for this hip festival,” said SunLine General Manager Lauren Skiver. “We really embrace what this festival provides to the Coachella Valley — a rare opportunity to enjoy a relaxing ride while enjoying some of the most talented musical acts in our community.”
Audition videos will be accepted through Oct. 20, with performances scheduled to run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on festival day.
Performers are asked to email a Youtube link with their musical performance — no longer than 90 seconds — to firstname.lastname@example.org .
