A judge Thursday appointed the widow of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman to administer the estate of the late actor, who died without a will this summer at age 43.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lee Bogdanoff granted Simone Ledward’s petition and directed her to file a request for final distribution of assets no later than Feb. 22, 2022.
Bogdanoff named Morris Mainstain as a probate referee to non-cash property in the estate.
Boseman died Aug. 28 after a four-year battle with colon cancer. His estate had an estimated value of $938,500, according to the estate’s court papers. In addition to Ledward, the actor is survived by his parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman of South Carolina.
