Actor Keanu Reeves may soon be reunited with watches stolen from his Los Angeles home that turned up in Chile and were handed over to the FBI, it was reported Wednesday.

The news of the return of Reeves’ watches came on the eve of a visit Wednesday by U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to the South American country.

Reeves, the star of the “John Wick” and “The Matrix” movie franchises, is a known watch aficionado who has gifted expensive timepieces to production crews.

Six watches, including a nearly $10,000 Rolex, were stolen from Reeves’ Hollywood Hills home in December 2023. A year later they turned up in raids in Chile, where a 21-year-old suspect was arrested, according to news reports that indicated the raids were the result of joint efforts of the FBI and Chilean law enforcement.

Noem was in the Chilean capital of Santiago during a visit to discuss burglary crews from the region targeting the United States, among other matters.

Just this week, police in Torrance warned residents that South American crews were targeting homes in the city and elsewhere in Southern California, sometimes using surveillance cameras to monitor people’s movements and routines before striking.
