“Weapons” kept the top spot at the box office for the second straight week, grossing $25 million to lead all films in North America, according to industry estimates released Sunday.

The horror film from New Line Cinema stars Julia Garner and Josh Brolin and was directed by actor/director Zach Cregger. It concerns a group of 17 children from the same classroom who disappear at the same time.

“Freakier Friday” was in second place for the second straight weekend, earning another $14.5 million Friday through Sunday, Comscore reported. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, who reprise their roles from 2003’s “Freaky Friday,” which was a remake of a 1976 film starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster.

Third place went to “Nobody 2,” the sequel to 2021’s action hit starring Bob Odenkirk as a former assassin trying to fashion a new life as a suburban dad. It opened with $9.2 million.

“Fantastic Four: First Steps” was fourth with $8.8 million in its fourth week, followed by “The Bad Guys 2,” which made $7.5 million in its third week.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases were “Superman” ($5.2 million), “The Naked Gun” ($4.8 million), “Jurassic World Rebirth” ($2.9 million), “F1 The Movie” ($2.6 million) and “Coolie” ($2.3 million).

This weekend’s overall three-day box office haul was estimated at $92.9 million. The year-to-date total is $5.77 billion — up 6.4% from the figure at this time last year, according to Comscore.
